PennyTree Advisers' business model is a revolutionary change in the delivery of high quality financial advice to working people.

Most other advisers in America are part of a larger product delivery or distribution system.  Often, that means their job is to get their clients to buy something - a mutual fund, an insurance policy, an investment advisory service, individual securities.  While this does not necessarily mean that the advice they deliver is unsound, it means that their income in some way depends on persuading their clients to purchase an investment, open an account, buy a policy or pay a fee. Usually, when they do this, others in the financial services distribution system also earn some money. Sometimes there are a lot of others in this chain. The jargon in the industry calls this "feeding the beast." The problem is that it is your money the beast is having for breakfast.

And, keep in mind, it is a hungry beast; so, most advisers are looking for the most substantial clients they can find.  High income and high assets translate into a very satisfying set of ingredients for most advisers.  Small income and few assets  draw far less attention - unless the person is willing to pay higher fees or accept a smaller return (leave some for the beast.) This is the the way that financial planning evolved within the financial services industry over the last 40 years.

PennyTree Advisers changes everything in fundamental ways.

First, we aren't part of any distribution system and we charge no fees.  No-one is ever asked to "open an account." Instead, we are a high value employment related benefit - with eligibility based on working for an enlightened company or membership in a progressive association or group.

Second, we do not limit services to an allotted amount of time or to a particular financial topic.  Our advisers earn a salary as a professional.  They provide help with any or all of your financial questions and needs. The employee/member decides what is most important. Sometimes, that requires a lot of work and sometimes it means answering a few questions. We can provide information, advice, resources or, if needed, hold your hand.

Third, we are truly on your side.  All of our materials and services are driven from a consumer point of view. We have no axe to grind and no quotas to meet.  Our seminars are places for working people to learn and grow more confident in their ability to thrive financially. We know that making financial decisions - even small ones - can be tough if you are unfamiliar with the issues or never dealt with them before.  We focus on providing the help you need and delivering it with respect.  Everyone deserves quality financial advice.
